Frequently Asked Questions

We begin with a free chemistry call - a relaxed, no pressure conversation to explore what you're looking for, answer any questions, and ensure we’re a good fit. This is a chance for you to get a feel for how it would work and for me to understand what support you need.
If we decide to move forward, we’ll typically work together over six sessions, spaced to suit your rhythm and goals.
We start by clarifying what you actually want from coaching - your goals, challenges, what “better” looks like for you. What is working, what’s draining you, where you feel stuck.
From there, sessions typically focus on whatever is most current or important for you that week/month - real situations, decision, patterns.
I don’t follow a rigid programme, it’s tailored to you but we do build themes over time. Confidence, boundaries, leadership presence, career direction, etc.
We look at both the external (what might actually be happening in your life or work) and the internal (your beliefs, reactions and patterns).
Some sessions are more strategic, some are more reflective. Both matter.
It is very much a partnership - I bring tools, challenge and clarity, you bring honesty and a willingness to explore.
The process builds over time, so the more consistently you show up the more momentum you create.

There is no right way to prepare - but here are a few things you might want to consider.
Come with a sense of what has been on your mind lately, the things you keep returning to or feels like a sticking point - it doesn’t need to be perfectly defined.
Think about what a good “outcome” would look like for you, from the session. Even if it is small - clarity, a decision made, understanding a pattern or trend.
Reflect on what is working well in your life - not just what you find challenging. Strengths can often give direction.
Know that it is totally normal to feel nervous, a lot of clients do. This shows that you care, and you are ready for what may come
You don’t need to do hours of prep, just come as you are, open to exploring.
If remote you need a good wi-fi connection and a quiet private space so you can focus.

Both ways can be equally successful, so preference will depend entirely on you and what helps you to show up fully.
Remote can be easier, no travel, easier to slot in to a packed diary, and you can choose the environment where you feel most focussed.
In person can feel more immersive.
Some clients like to start in person to build the relationship and then switch to remote.
I don’t see a difference in the depth or quality of the work - the breakthroughs happen either way.
If you’re new to coaching remote can be a great low-pressure starting point. If you love real-time energy, and thinking on your feet then in-person might feel more natural.
A lot of it will come down to where you are. I’m Reading, Berkshire based

Coaching is a forward-focused, collaborative process that helps you unlock your potential, clarify your goals and take meaningful action. Unlike therapy, which often explores past experiences and emotional healing, coaching centers on growth, possibility and future outcomes, empowering you to find your own answers with support and structure

Not at all. Some clients come with clear goals, while others arrive with a sense that something needs to shift. Coaching can help you uncover what’s beneath the surface, clarify your direction and move forward with intention. Whether you’re in transition, feeling stuck or simply curious about what’s next, coaching meets you where you are.
